Went to the liverpool game so had a few bets before the game, had 4-0 (which was the scoreline) but had gerrard to score the first goal as well), typical luck. My double came in though making me £18.00 up on the betting. Lost another £10.00 on the fruit machine, £3.00 in a quiz machine and £1.00 on golden goal, so my betting is again very disappointing.

These two days just go to show that I haven't really leanrt my lesson when it comes to gambling. Day 218 I played Omaha cash and found myself 150$ up when I got involved in a hand that saw me lose all $150 making me a total of £0.88 up. I then played cash on day 219 and found myself 200$ down on the day, so I played an omaha comp on party poker instead. I managed to come 2nd in that and ended up a total of £14.08 down.

In terms of the weight situation I didn't change the last week. I'm not happy that I seem to be stuck on the same weight, but I'll keep plugging away..

My mum's sister passed away after a long battle against illness, it's a sad time and a time where gambling pails into insignificance, although it does hammer home the fact that life is for living and life itself is the ultimate gamble, no-one knows when they will lose their gamble, so its best to look at every day in a special way. I know it is difficult sometimes because work can get you down, arguements get you down, little things happen that annoy you, but I bet if you looked hard enough there is some sort of good in every day

I played a little PKR which left me £62.00 down. Now I know why I have had a break from all this. I just cannot seem to get motivated to gamble anything. This break has done me good, but on the other hand, what has it done for me, saved me losing £62.00 for a couple of days, well I've managed to catch up with that one haven't I.

I'm sure even though it is on a whole different level to the one I'll play in November I feel good and confident about the Omaha.

When my japanese friend Mori is asking me when my blog is being updated then I know I'm lagging behind because he struggles to work out how to start his computer let alone logging onto a website to read a blog. So here's my blog. I've not had the best of news recently in terms of personal life so the blog has taken a bit of a back seat. My nan hasn't been well for a while ever since she had a fall around 9/10 weeks ago. I went to her house the other day with my mum, my nan, 2 nurses and a social worker. I don't want to go into the details but my mum ended up getting a little upset which in turn made me upset. Now there has been the very sad news that my mums sister is terminally ill and only has a matter of days to live, I don't really see my auntie, and haven't seen her for about 10 years, but it is my mums sister, so it is more bad news for my mum and really I want her to know that I am there for her whenever she needs me. There has also been rubbish things happening at work, I mean I don't want to go into details of my work but things are changing and I feel a little like I'm not part of the future and therefore a bit isolated at the moment, I was also not happy with the outcome of interviews but that's a whole different story. So blogs have not been in the forefront of my mind. I have played some PKR £58.43 down's worth, and I've played a omaha comp online where I came 8th out of 45 just missing out on the money. I also had £11.00 of football bets, and from all this I have won nothing, but sometimes money just does not mean a thing

My good friend brasso has qualified for the GUKPT main event in Blackpool in November and a few of his poker mates are going to go up there to support him and probably get drunk, but before all that there are side events, one of the side events is the £250.00 Omaha, now I really want to play in this comp. Steadily over the last few months that is all I have been playing, I love the game as much as I loved hold-em when I first started playing that some 10/11 years ago.

I did go to a stables to see my dad's horse, ok so he doesn't actually own a horse but we bought him a share in one for his 60th, it's called GRAND PALACE and runs in a couple of weeks, I'll let you know nearer the time.

Well, I won't lie to you. When I set this blog up I thought by the 200th day i'd have at least trebled my money and the only reason I didn't think I'd be more up is because I don't know how to spell quadrouple (see).

Least the 200th day wasn't a bad day. We went to the races, it was with work colleagues, starting great with a 12-1 winner and our syndicate had the 4th in another race where the 3rd placed horse was disqualified so we won on that too. Dollar signs were beginning to go round and round my head, then reality hit, a few losers and Toby Anstis judging the 'best dressed' competition soon dampened the mood, you may think I am being a little harsh there but if I show you this picture;

You can easily see what an idiot he is (sorry toby, I'll be nice if you decide to be my celebrity blog reader). I ended up £50.00 up and met a guy who has been to 47 out of the 49 race courses in the uk, now that is impressive.

I then went to bunny's to play at his dealers choice cash game, it got a little heated when bunny decided to speak his mind when I beat him in a hand on the river. Now I can't understand people getting worked up about losing hands in poker, especially in live play and even more so in a cash game amongst friends, so I let my feelings be known, as I write this now it is all forgotten about, but at the time I cannot understand the reaction. I understand frustrations when people call a strategic bet with nothing, and hit their 2 miracle cards to win, that is annoying, and online I wear out the letters on my keyboard frantically telling them they are a 'donk' or maybe something worse (i know that you can't believe that such and angelic person like me could come out with such explitives) but I it happens and even that happening live I very rarely say anything, what's done is done and there is nothing you can change about it. Anyway that is forgotton about and despite being down over £35.00 at one point I clawed it back to be up by £1.40. Billyboy also gave me £1.11 (that may be wrong) and Bunny gave me £1.00. Went to the home of football to watch Licerpool against a lesser known football team that I can't remember the name of. After about 26 attempts and not even cashing, we split the money three ways (sort of), me, Dave Glaze and Mr William 'have some of that f*ckers' Merrill. I took £80.00 a massive £65.00 profit, and from my joke attempts at trying to gamble up to £20,000 that is a godsend.

Boyed by the fact of my new found normalness I was still ill when I woke up the next day, but I was safe in the knowledge that I didn't have to go into quarentine for 7 to 10 days (yes I really did read up about it) so I sat in bed playing PKR for all of 30 minutes where I managed to donk off £60.76, not a good idea to play poker whilst you are ill.

At night I was well enough to go to Bunny's for a dealers choice round of each, drugged up to the eyeballs I played the first half well but a combination of the drugs running out and a stupid game called arabian sand (which I will never play again) took all my money off me before the last couple of hands. Good night though despite being £20.00 down

No gambling today. Woke up feeling like shite and thinking the worst (that swine flu everyone's talking about). I looked on the swine flu website to look up my symptoms. I had to be over 30 degrees, now I don't have a thermometer, mainly due to the fact that I am not a doctor, so I called the next best thing.....my mother.

She bought round a "thermometer" I say it was a thermometer, it was a strip that told you if you were normal by the strip showing a huge 'N' or too hot by showing a 'F' (I have no idea why). Turns out I was normal, I always thought I was.....

Chinny and Mori came round to watch the Charity Shield, only problem was I thought it started at 4 so we missed the first half and the opportunity to have £1.00 on the first goalscorer, who was nani (I'd have never picked him, I think i'd have picked ronaldo to re-sign for them and score before I'd pick nani) so it was £1.00 saved.

Played the round of shit, or the round of bollocks, or the round of me donking £15.00 off, didn't cash (YET AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) but sat down at the fruit machine cause the fort knox looked like it was going to go. Played for a bit, and fort knox feature came up, bad news was it was on the one next to me) he got silver £140 or so. I carried on playing cause the lowest one was at £66.00. I was in for £40.00 and I got it. cha ching, shortly after that I hit a £48.00 spin off 40p a go, which was great. Cashed out £50.00 up. Paid for the day and a little more :)

Day 190 is all about the football starting up again. Now I know I'm being controversial about this when i say I know it's not proper football, but when you have been deprived for 10 weeks you cling on to anything you can get and the championship was all I can get.

I've started drafting my fantasy football teams, I'm going to have a few in various different papers/websites and I'll let you know the full details next week when it all kicks off. I've also set a challenge on www.premierleague.com. I have offered a bet to everyone I know telling them I think I can beat them over the season and I'm willing to bet £5.00 with everyone. The only bet I had on the championship was with work. Sunil at work runs a results betting service (can you tell I'm struggling for the word I'm looking for). Basically every week there are 6 games where you pick HOME/DRAW/AWAY and you pay £1.00 and win the kitty if you get the results right. I lost on the first game, I had Boro to win.

Played the remaining bonus requirement for my $75. So ended up cashing out of PKR £94.53 up with I was absolutly delighted with.

Ok, this blog has hit a bit of a problem. The football season is upon us and every year I have a bet on the top goalscorer and winners in all four divisions. Now I won't get the money back from those until 3 months after the blog finishes, so I've come to a dramatic conclusion - I'm going to extend the blog to the end of the world cup, only due to the fact that I have a bet with a friend of mine that Gerrard (the pride of english football) will score more league goals in the season (including major tournaments) than Lampard (pie eater) and that bet is for £50 and lasts until the end of the World Cup Final.

I know it sort of a cop out in terms of reaching my goal, but lets face it, I ain't gonna get up to £20,000 but at least this will give me more time to achieve it (or fail in it). I have weighed up the pros and cons to it, mainly the biggest con is writing the bloody blog everyday, sometimes it really gets me down, like you wouldn't believe. But, circumstances dictate that I need to extend it.

Went on a stag do to Liverpool today, I ended up going to the casino twice. I'm sure I'm the only person in history to have done that. The first time I went was on my own at around 8pm. I don't remember much about it all only that I was very drunk lying outside Burger King in the middle of Liverpool town centre, it was at that point I thought I may be a little too drunk to carry on with the stag do. So off to the casino i went and felt better and richer when I left to rejoin the party. Ended up £150.00 altogther, Good result.

Not a great day for a couple of reasons, firstly the unimportant news that I lost £64.00 on PKR, this pails into insignificance when the second thing is a funeral of a friend. Denise (a chef at Keele) died last week and today was her funeral. My thoughts go out to her friends and family.

I did promise someone a mention - Paul Barratt, a living legend, especially when he is telling you a story and he says 'then they want to one of those laptop dancing bars' you can't plan comedy like that. Anyway I said I'd mention him, and that's what I've done. He's a great bloke and i'm sure that he now owes me a beer for saying all that.

Today we went to Skegness, or as I like to call it Scumness, or maybe even Skagness, or in extremem circumstances scumholeness. It was fooking horrible. The only way to describe it would be;

That would make skegness look good. After spending 2 hours bumping into people who seemed to all have crutches or wheelchairs, walking past the 'fashion show' that consisted of people watching a person model fake designer gear, and playing crazy golf on the worlds worse course we headed back to stoke (that's how bad it was)

I accidently pressed the 'Next Blog' button instead of the 'New Post' button and it lead me to a blog that seemed to be pictures of various peoples passports and driving licences. Check it out - it is very bizarre. The blog is called Minhoca Louca. I'm sure that can't be legal.

Anyways I went to manchester today - just for a night out. Managed to gamble a massive £7.00 in Edwards in manchester. Now I know that this blog isn't a food critic site but i'm going to have a moan anyway. Me and Emma ordered two Cumberland sausage and red onion baguettes, the picture looked nice, we waited about 20 minutes for what can only be described as a culinary disaster. Firstly the sausage was your bog standard old sausage cut into strips then deep fried along with the red onion. The red onion was thin and full of fat as was the sausage, and the fat had soaked into the baguette. Luckily there was brown sauce to drown it in otherwise I would have left it. Not a good advert for edwards.

Not a very eventful day in terms of gambling, although I did see a guy in morrisons with the words 'Cross Heath' tattooed on the back of his neck. It was a trip to DTD that made the days entertainment. I didn't cash in the £25.00 freezeout, if we're going to be picky about it, I didn't even make an hour, which was disappointing. Brasso managed to last less than that.

The most fun happened when I went onto the internet and played omaha cash. Managed to get my buy-in back and have a laugh whilst doing it on 0.05/0.10 blinds. I was down to 0.25 on one table and managed to gamble it back up to $14.00.

It was also a laugh when brasso tried to test the filters on the DTD internet by typing in various 'dodgy' web addresses that i aren't going to put on here because my site would be closed down - very funny though...

I looked in my Skybet account to see how much it said - £2.21. Not great, but at least I won't be able to lose more than that. I decided to bet on Australia to win the 2nd test. They were 9-1 so it was a nice price. I tried to put the bet on but it wouldn't let me. Again I tried, and again it rebuffed my advances. I then fell into the 'well screw you, i'll donk this off on something else' attitude and I went onto the fruit machine thing I had been on before. I played 10p a spin, had 6 spins and won nothing and I wasn;t losing my money fast enough so I upped it to 25p a spin. 2 spins and my screen went purple with, well, erm, purple monsters and my balance shot up by £100. Now you know me, I carried on until I was down to £80.00 then I took it out.

I then played texas hold em with a few mates at my house. I managed to come 2nd in the first game and win the 2nd game. Put me £21.00 up which I was chuffed with, maybe its not such a bad game....

Today was the day that I realised my love affair for texas hold em poker was over. After 10 years of really enjoying the game I have no interest in it anymore. Omaha has taken over where Hold em was. I sat at Bunny's home game, it was a qualifier for the £150.00 comp at circus, I sat there thinking 'I'm playing a game i don't enjoy to win a seat into a bigger comp that I don't enjoy' not great sense to play that game really, and my unmotivated play ended up seeing me go out 1st and back at home the good side of 11pm. I don't know whether I'll get that love back, but it ain't there at the moment.

Just to give you a little incite into what a muppet I am....

On saturday I was just leaving my house to the minibus to go to the races. I noticed that I had a parcel on top of my postbox (I reside in an appartment with a communial postbox thingy), well anyway, when I got back from the races I was drunk but noticed it had gone. The day after I hungoverly confirmed that it had indeed disappeared. I was far from impressed.

The day after I had another parcel. I took it into my house. I then wrote a letter entitled 'dear thief' explaining that I was 'on to them', and they could avoid the police by giving up my dvd. I then put in an old paperback book, as to make it look genuine. I then added some grated cheese (yes you read it right). There were small gaps in the packaging where the cheese would fall out and I could follow the chedder trail to the thiefs house. Simple.

I lay my trap and went out, when i returned the package had been moved, someone was checking if it was for them, but as they had lifted it up, grated cheese had fallen out of the side and onto the floor. I was moving the cheese from the top of the post box and noticed a package, yes it was mine from Saturday. I must have moved it and placed it behind the stack of yellow pages. So now not only have I misjudged my neighbours but I have one of them thinking that I get boxes of grated cheese sent to me....

On a more annoying note I managed to lose £60.00 on betfair :( and £33.25 on poker :(((

Just want to make a quick apology to all you weight watchers out there. This week I managed to gain 2 pounds, which I was gutting if I'm honest. I'm not that suprised really because of the trip to chester and me drinking my own body weight in carling (even including the 2 pound extra I am now). This means I'm £15.00 down on my betting.

The rest was taken up by a little betting. A work friend had mentioned a guy who had made 8 million betting on betfair, and he was just laying bets on favourites, because favourites don't win that often. Well I had a couple of days PKR-ing it. Played the Omaha $10 buy in on both days and finished 3rd and 2nd, so chuffed with that. I did manage to donk of a bit of cash as I was playing. The stupid thing was that I was playing Hi only in the comp and hi/lo in the cash, and that doesn't help on PKR because no matter how good I think PKR is, I'm not really that impressed with the multi-tabling facility as I am with other sites. I'll learn to play only one game at a time. I ended up £56.32.

Hastings was a none gambling day until I found a fruit machine in the hotel we went to. £6.00 went in there. Then it was off to the front to see the sea and go into an amusement arcade. I instantly spotted the 2p slider thingy me bob (which I don't know what it's called), see below (not the actual one)

I found a star wars one, where little star wars books were placed on to of the 2p's and you have to make the 2p's push them off the edge. Now, I may not have told you this but I am a huge fan of the star wars films (not episode 1 so much) but as soon as I saw this I had to win a book - £2.64 later, I had one. Then I moved onto the 10p machine, these had £5.00 notes on top of them - even more of an incentive. after £12.00 we won £5.00, then we changed that for 10ps and another £8.00 and won another - which we kept. So £7.50 down each. I then won £2.00 in the fruit machine.

I played the Grosvenor £15.00 freezeout with a £5.00 headhunter chip (every person you knock out you get £5.00) well amazingly I came 3rd. I had begun to think that I just wouldn't cash in any poker comp again, but I did in this one. I won £40.00 plus another £10.00 for the two heads I got. I didn't have to pay for the £5.00 head chip because if you register before the competition starts you get that for free (which is a very good offer).

Onto my least successful comp I have evey played in - The round of each, or, as I affectionally now call it - the f*cking waste of money. Made the final table this time, but as usual, missed out on the money. I also managed to turn £40.00 ish of profit on the fruit machines into a £25.00 loss. Me and sleazy did take control of the fort knox machines and put £1.00 into each machine and played £0.01 a spin to see if we could get onto fort knox and take the £50.00 on offer. I went to play at Kev and Jue's. We played dealers choice cash and I could not miss. Every hand i was in I'd flop either a straight or a full house, it was the best bit of luck I've had for a long time. I even passed a hand in maltese when the only card I could hit to win would have been the 10 of hearts for the royal flush and guess what....yes the 10 of hearts - bang!

The best bit of the game was the players who played. I don't think I've been at a table where so many of the players can be googled. There was a premiership footballer and a legend in poker playing, and I managed to win hands offov both of them. that made me very happy.

Whilst I was googling the two that were on google I also googled a couple of the others. First one was sleazy. He, apparently, owns a boat, well according to his website he owns two boats 'The Pile' and 'Swag'. That is the picture of the Pile. I never knew he owned a boat.

I then decided to look up one of the hosts, and it turns out the Kev has written a book on politics, if you don't believe me, here it is;

It's even had great reviews on amazon, including someone saying 'This book is such a good read, everytime i went cycling I took it with me' and 'Bloor has created a book aimed at A level politics students - and to do him justice, he's really tried' - to be fair not great reviews, I just wonder how the guy on the bike has not killed himself cycling and reading at the same time.

In other news I played my second tourney last night in the PKR super series. About the 6th hand in I was dealt Kings, it's raised before me, so i reraise 3times the original raiser. He calls.
Flop comes 5d 10c Qs. he bets out, I push all in and he instantly calls with KJ off suit. and gets a 9 on the turn for his straight. I personally feel that I played this hand right and he was the idiot that called a re-raise with KJ. An issue which I pointed out to him, he replied with 'I was open ended I couldn't fold'. before the flop I meant.......

In other news I lost yet more weight, now I have lost a total of one whole stone. not that i can tell. I'm sure the electronic lady only tells me this so I stay motivated and continue to put the lottery on. Well I've stopped with that game.

Well the PKR Super Series thingy-me-bob is up and running and today it was the 100k guaranteed event - $250 to enter (a little much for my budget) so I tried a qualifier - 65 runners and top 3 getting a seat.

Had a really good game, and some excellent banter with some guy from australia, some of it might have been borderline racist, but all in good faith and amazingly we both finished in the top 3 and took a seat :)

Started off really well in the comp, was up to 20th with 260 left, but blinds and a couple of semi foolish calls took me down a bit and eventually I was knocked out in 151st. Not a bad effort, and really enjoyed it.

For all you hardcore readers out there, I know that Day 142 should have been weigh day, you're now probably thinking 'look, the moment he doesn't lose weight, he loses interest, well that isn't the case at all. After doing various stuff to do with work, then going to see my nan, it was getting on for 9 when I decided to walk to morrisions. I thought it closed at 10pm, turns out it doesn't. It closes at 9pm, so me getting there at five past nine didn't do me any good. I could hear the weighing machine woman laughing at me and singing out random weights and lottery numbers (although that might have just been in my head).

So I had to go today, still, it wasn't all bad as I lost another 2lbs, which I was delighted with, I'm now getting to that stage where someone actually said 'Have you lost some weight?' which is where I wanted to be at this stage - delighted really. Lost 11lbs I think. More importantly I've won £20 offov myself

My nan had a fall a couple of days ago, and I went to visit her in hospital. I met my uncle there, now I haven't seen my uncle for about 12 years, if not more. He was telling me about how he had 2 minor heart attacks and a mini stroke about 6 months back, he was also telling me that my other auntie had just had 70 stitches in her face as a result of an operation to clear cancerous cells. I was listening to this whilst, my nan tossed and turned in agony, complaining about her badly bruised back. All of this left me sad, but glad that I live my life in a way that makes me very happy. I do things that I want to do, and have seen and done a lot.

This is why poker players make me laugh. They shadow what happens in real life for the majority of people. People like to moan. I sat on a table where someone got up and walked out because someone smelt of garlic, others were moaning about peoples play, moaning about what was on the buffet. I had put life into prospective a couple of days ago and this was all just one big joke for me.

I didn't make the final table, and was glad to leave really.

Well a little different day today. I went to the bingo....well me and emma did, which sort of forms part of the story today.

I am now a fully fledged member of Gala bingo fenton. Now I've been to bingo before, but nothing really like this. We joined, then received out starter pack, which consisted of nothing really other than a "Learner Dabber" which I was delighted with to start, because I hadn't even bought a pen with me. We then queued up at counter number one, where we bought our early evening cards - 3 of those. Then we went to counter number two where we bought another 600 games (well it seemed like that).

We took our seats and waited for the games to begin - this is where the learner dabbers came into their own, it felt like the regulars were looking at us and judging us on our dabbers, surely that is dabbist. I'm sure someone even tutted at one stage, but we showed them...

Into about the 7th game Emma only went and bloody won didn't she - BOOM - £150.00.

Now, this bought up a little dilemma. Before bingo started, we hadn't much thought about winning, but Emma gave me half the winnings. Now I would have done the same - I'm sure that it is an unwritten rule on bingo etiquite, but although it was very nice of emma it does sort of throw up a slight dilemma. Do I add this to my blog total. I was thinking back to poker and sometimes me and brasso have 20% of eachother in poker comps, then if one of us win, we give the other one 20% of what we win. I would include that 20% in my blog, plus the fact that emma said if i didn't put it in as a win, its a donation to the cause anyway, so I am including it. So bingo cost me £20.00 altogether and I made £55.00 profit due to emma's dabbing.

Well today was round of each day. I managed to get down to 350 chips at the break. The break does seem to range from 20 minutes to 4 and a half hours. Free buffet though, so I had a few sandwiches and left, still technically in the comp (apparently I almost made the final table), I may try that tactic next time. I went home and played Omaha cash, which I managed to win £37.12, so it wasn't all bad

Concert over, hungover in full affect, we ambled over to the legend that is Barry Island. Just before I tell you about the experience I'll just mention the conversation I had with the receptionist at the hotel on friday. Soon as we got there our rooms weren't ready so we asked if they had a bar, to with the reply was 'it will be open in half an hour'. Brilliant news, as it goes we didn't end up having a beer there, we only had a coffee, but after we left the bar area I went back to the reception. I asked 'What time is the bar open until tonight?' the same receptionist answered 'the bar is 24 hours, the night porter serves on there' to which I replied 'well if it's 24 hours why is it closed now?' the receptionist looked at me as if I was mental and said'because the night porter has gone home'

So I learned that 24 hour bar opening means something different in Wales. We also learned the welsh for buffet - bwffet and Barry - Y Barri. Safe to say the welsh language is a tricky code to crack.

Anyway, onto Barry island. Firstly we went into an amusement arcade (purely to see if it was the one in Gavin and Stacey - it wasn't), there I donated £6.00 on the fruit machines, which felt more like giving to charity as we were the only people in there apart from, what seemed to be, a very disfunctional family. Onto Barry's equivalent of the pleasure beach - it wasn't very much of a pleasure at all, and to top it off, and oldish couple were sunbathing on the roof of the amusement arcade, drinking a bottle of white lightening between them. This did pose the question - Y Barri?

Then we found it, the mecca of Barry's Island (they love it being called that), it was the mini golf, can't really call it crazy golf, because it wasn't. It was like it had fallen from the sky and didn't belong in Y Barri - Y crazy golf? Or maybe Y Cwazt Gwlf? We had a game, it would have been rude not to, it was awesome - a jack sparrow theme, and we all put in a pound for the winner. I managed to go round the Par 40 course in 32 making me the joint winner and getting me a whole pound coin.

An Apology

Well, just like any other document of a persons opinion, this blog is not subject to making mistakes, and it has been highlighted to me that I made a huge one on Day 130. I stated (and I quote) "England played the international equivalent of Burton Albion". It has been bought to my attention that Burton Albion were promoted from the conference for the first time in their history to claim a place in the football league and all the riches that come with that (playoffs and the carling cup). My comments were very disrespectful to not only the successful club of Burton Albion, but to their beautiful city (well town) and for that I apologise, and I retract that sentence in my Day 130 blog and replace the Burton Albion with Derby County - now there's a club that's sh*te.

Well I didn't gamble today either, but I did go to cardiff to watch Oasis, Kasabian, The Enemy and The Pier (I think) which was Rhys Ifans band (all nine of them).

What a great day, everyone was really good. I ain't been to many music concerts so I can't really compare it to anything else, but I judge it on the amount of beer that was thrown about, the quality of the pies, the amount of times you are told off for climbing into the executive boxes (which was once) and the fact that you are staying in Barry. This was more exciting for me as a big Gavin and Stacey fan, and I'm staying in the home of their show.

I wanted to write a bit more about this but I'm not feeling so good today so I'll write the updates for my blog later this week. Keep with it folks, I've not lost my motivation with this. I just don't feel great today....

Today was the day that England played the International equivalent of Burton Albion so I decided to bet on the game, England were 1/100. For those of you who aren't sure about odds, you need to place £100 on to win £1.00, so instead I decided to go for betting on the score - so I had 4-0, 5-0 and 6-0. I do think I was the only tense england fan watching that match. It went to 3-0 after about 28 minutes or so, then it stayed 3-0 till the 70th minute. England then managed to score 3 quick goals so I then had 10 minutes of sweating again, finally the score ended 6-0 and my stake of £6.83 made me £27.58 profit.

So I have had a comment for yesterdays blog off a 'Bruce Willis' telling me to keep up the good work, I'd like to thanks Mr Willis for his kind comments, but for me to add him as my celebrity blog reader he will need to e-mail me and we really need to chat a little, just so I know it isn't a fake. I have taken steps to try and catch myself one, so we'll see what happens. I've twittered and facebooked a few people including Dale offov the last big brother, develfish offov late night poker and stuff. I've tried to track down any 80s stars and i've even advertised;

We'll see if that brings anything up. In other news - the gambling. I lost £32.00 on omaha cash, which quite frankly is not good. My prospective famous person won't be happy with that.....

...What he will be happy with, will be my trip to the robot lady woman who not only tells me I have lost weight, but also wows me with her, quite frankly, poor effort at lottery ticket numbers. By the way, I checked all my lottery tickets and have not won a single pence as yet. This week I lost 1 pound, but a pound is a pound (it's a fiver added). To be honest I had mixed feeling about the result - I didn't have anything to eat all day Thursday, but on the other hand I did have a kebab on saturday night - I must stop doing that.

So I broke my Grosvenor amnesty yesterday by going there and playing the round of each, didn't play too bad to be honest, made the final table but had no chips when I called a hand all in with only trip kings and a pair of aces in omaha on a KK10 board, of course martin had the 10 10, I should have known better.

But on a more positive, Martin gave me a tenner he owed me for foolishly thinking that Manchester City would win the UEFA cup. I won £6.00 on Dekka's pound round, still called that even though Dekka wasn't there. Then came the fruit machine and I hit silver on Fort Knox to give me £130.00 off £20.00. I then went back on later and came off another £2.00 up (profit is profit after all) £5.00 was lost to roulette and that was that for the day.

The only other thing was that I want to raise the profile of the blog by getting a famous person to read it. More on that in tomorrows blog. Lets just say I've taken steps to sort this out.

I haven't kept it quiet this year that I'm disappointed in my play since I started this blog, I've had years of rather good success in terms of playing poker, and now I find myself struggling to cash in comps. Today was no different, I played at Broadway with Brasso, Rage, Sleazy, Bunny and Dekka. I did not cash again, but it is a tough comp to cash in. I managed to come 23rd out of 158, and in the process won the last longest bet with the lads (well actually, me and bunny did a deal, just before his AJ was beaten by A10.

I played really well, didn't make any mistakes, even made a great bluff with absolutly nothing, early on in the game. So in summary, happy with my performance dissapointed in yet another non-cash out.

Still feeling a little bit sick yesterday, more to the point, this blog is sounding more like twitter as the days go bye, next I'll be just writing 'got up, went to the fridge, nothing in there, sat back down and looked out the the window.....'

I'm back on my game, I decided to play a little online Omaha, only problem was, it cost me £64.00 in the process. I really shouldn't play when I don't feel very well (that's my excuse anyway).

It was then off to Bunny's for a 20k deep stack round of each. 6 Players. Me, brasso, bunny, boydy, Bikko, and Dekka.

Very good game, good structure. Everything about the game was enjoyable, I was a little annoyed when me and Dekka split a pot that I should have had 3/4 of, but that annoyance went after about 30 seconds, even though people kept mentioning it througout the night. I also folded the 2nd nuts after my reraise was re-reraised, again it was Dekka - he was like my nemisis all night, but not like spiderman and lex luther, more like batman and cat woman. They do have ding dongs at times, but the mutual love is there for everyone to see. I really like Dekka, and I ended up ultimetly knocking both him and Bunny out in one hand, it was in super stud with a floater. I'm not going to go into the actual hand, but i managed to get a straight flush against 4 Queens and Bunny's failed low hand. That set me up for the game really and a three way chop saw me £20.00 in profit.

Other money in was £3.00 profit from Bastard Brag, where my 956 slaughters bikko's 923 to take the pot. Brasso also donated £1.00 to me. Always love those donations.

Horrible day for me as I was sick for most of it, couldn't concentrate on keeping my food down so playing poker was very much a no. Instead I lay on the sofa feeling sorry for myself and watching the entire Season 2 of Dexter. If you want my review, here it is - 'It's f@&king brilliant", there you go Showtime Entertainment, use that for the cover of Season 3 (when you can be arsed to bring out the next season)...

So I again did no gambling this week, but I did at least try and make this blog a little more well known locally. I've already cracked the wider market, as proven by the PKR stranger talking to me about my blog the other week, but loaclly, I literally don't know anyone I don't know who is reading this blog in Stoke (if that makes sense?), so I've used the ultimate free marketing tool, yes that's right - I've slipped some "business cards" in the advertising card holder thingy at Tesco Longton, so if any of you are in there at any point over the next couple of days, have a look.

so no gambling today, but i still had a good day (if you can call it that). Obviously it was weigh day and the magical robot woman told me again that I had lost more weight - 6 pounds this time, now I'm not pessimistic about all this, but I'm convinced she's telling me I've lost weight on purpose so I will put on the magical lottery numbers. 6 pounds seems a hell of a lot considering at 4.30am saturday morning I was sitting on the bonnet of a BMW being driven through a 24 hour McDonalds. A McDonalds which I ate at, so you can see why I sort of don't believe her, but obviously she brainwashed me and I bought the ticket.

I also had to put money into my account (with it being the start of the month). I worked out that I owed myself £79.56, I've nticed that this figure is going up and up, which is not good, so I'm capping it at £100 otherwise it will bankrupt me. No betting now, probably till friday...

Day 120 and all it seemed to need was me moaning that I am due a big win somewhere. Yesterday I had it. I decided to go and play at the grovs round of each after my 2 month exile. A couple of hours before I decided to chance my arm in a $4 rebuy tourney for a seat into the Ohama showdown tourney later that day. Well, I only went and won it, giving me a seat and making it impossible to show my face at the grosvenor (i'm sure they have missed me) I played it and cashed.

There was one significant hand that probably cost me winning that tourney and it was when we were 9 handed (8 got paid) I have 35,000 chips (2nd place) I'm big blind 1000,2000. one of the short stacks pushes all in for 16k, I look down and I have AcAhJh3d. I know I'm ahead, but it is a lot of chips to call. I think and then decide to call. She has QQ58, The board comes 5,6,7,J,4 giving her the straight and now putting pressure on me to survivie the money. I think maybe I should have folded that hand. I went on to make 6th and £181.12 off just $4 (and I won that $4 back on cash)

A great day and reviving my optomism for the future and making my targets. I know I am a million miles off, but there is hope.

Decided to stay in and play online, played 2 comps - $30.00 freezeout which I did nowt, and a $15.00 treble chance comp which I managed to get knocked out within 25 minutes each time losing my stack when I had QQ, must be some sort of record......

It was time for a road trip.....

That took the form of me, brasso, bunny, sleazy, adam burketelly (spelt wrong I guess), his girlfriend, 4 cans of carling and a carrier bag with a hole in it. Off we went in Brasso's rather spacious car. It was like travelling in your front room, it only needed a 42" tv in the front window. Can you work on that brass.

We went to play the £10 plus a £5 add on/rebuy at the manchester G in manchester (strangly enough). 110+ runners, including a few more ukplers - Mr Mac and Mrs Mac, 3 pairs and Lewis, we were all pretty much out before the final table, brasso lasted the longest, came around 13th.

I was knocked out with a brilliant read on my part. I had 77 on the bb, it was raised by the chip leader, who had raised a lot and bet big when he hit, and small when he didn't. The flop came 10 10 6, I checked he put in a small bet, I thought for a moment and shoved them all in. he took an age to decide then called me flipping over A6. A came on the river and I was out on my arse, and off to play 2 way poker. I left 2 way around £100 up but boredom took its toll, as did the roulette machine and fruit. All in all I left the tables £30.00 up, it could have been better. I was playing on the fort knox machine and came off, only to see a woman take my place. 5 minutes later she scooped the £650.00 gold prize - nice one sleazy ;)
